Some personal Pen and Ink and Pencil drawings. These allowed me to go places creatively which the book illustrations did not usually take me to. Commissioned book illustrations are working to a time and a price which personal work does not have to be constrained by. This generally allows a greater level of detail.
The Making of a Fayble pen and ink in the gallery is a good example of this, since it represents some 150 hours of work. Which is quite simply not commercially feasible but very rewording still to have produced. Pieces like this are very much one-offs to test myself. I also find working with pens and pencils to be very satisfying and a nice counterpoint to my digital work.
Clicking on any of the images takes you into a carousel with details of each of the pictures.
I have prints of some these for sale when I go out and about to events.
